If you plan on spending some time in the hillside region of Chieti and happen to be looking for a beautiful accommodation possibility at an extremely fair price, Brancaleone in Roccamontepiano has recently re-structured three rooms on their top floor and now offer a vacation apartment with a fire place, lovely little terrace and total space in the range of 45-50 square metres.
The apartment is made up of a large living/sleeping area, kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffee maker and breakfast table) which leads to the terrace (large enough to seat four), a large luxurious washroom and hallway with storage possibilities. All walls, floors and ceilings have been re-stored and boast exposed stone arches which give off a feeling of warmth and comfort. There is just as much attention to detail when it comes to the furnishings and one can tell that the apartment hasn’t just been thrown together with “extra” or “old” furniture which just happen to be lying around. The washroom is its own little oasis as it boasts very high ceilings and a sunken pie shape tub making you feel like you’re in your own little wellness centre.
The apartment is perfect for a couple or a family and offers all the amenities necessary to get your day started. Please note that the kitchen facilities do not offer a stove and is mainly geared to breakfast but a fridge is available if you plan on shopping and want to store some fresh produce.
Brancaleone has a huge terrace overlooking the hillside and mountain region with a great panoramic view of the neighbouring vineyards, olive gardens and the Gran Sasso range, which is available for visitors when not in use for restaurant purposes. Let it be known that Brancaleone is a very popular spot to celebrate weddings but Maurizio Basile, the owner, will surely inform you in advance if there is an event taking place on the Saturday during your stay and even if this is the case, the terrace is only used to serve aperitifs and hors d’oeuvres before the wedding reception or for serving desert.
