The Abruzzo fight against OIL… not olive oil!

Just think what would happen if this question would be placed in relation to Italian regions such as Tuscany, Piedmont or even Liguria – the fact that it’s related to Abruzzo is probably why we’re not hearing so much about it. Let’s raise our voices!

To put things in a nutshell: Abruzzo, Italy’s – no, Europe’s – green lung is currently fighting against the oil moguls who plan on building an oil refinery plant near Ortona, in the middle of prime wine country! Not to mention the effect this would have on the ever growing coastal tourism in the region. For more information on the subject, we’ve put together a list of links:
