Daniele is currently striving to add a new skill and title to his repertoire... that of Master Sommelier. He is currently a candidate of the A.I.S. (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers) course in Alto Adige, Italy which will be finalised in 2008.
In the future, Daniele plans on offering wine tasting and cooking courses in the region (for English and German speaking visitors) during the Spring and Summer months, closing up the tourist season with a series of exclusive wine trips in September & October where participants will take part in the vintage therefore enjoying the wine-making process up close, experience fine regional dining and a multitude of fine wines from the Abruzzo region.
Special thanks go to: Christine Frühholz (Content Development: German language), Antonio Masciarelli (Viticultural Consultant), Georg Hohenester (Hiking Tips), Roberta Masciarelli (Translation), Norbert Hein (MTB Tips), Stefania del Gesso (Translation), Marco Ventura (Translation) and Andreas Anding & Jan Jost (Technical Partners, Freakworks Media).

In early 2007, Daniele took it upon himself to produce a web portal in order to share his "discoveries" throughout the region: agriturismi, enotecas (wine bars), restaurants and hotels. Inside-Abruzzo.com's main focus will be establishments and persons in the "Collina" region of Abruzzo who have helped in raising the standard and those who are currently doing so.
The "Collina" region, sandwiched between the Apennin Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. With its soft rolling hills, many midievel towns nestled between lush olive and wine gardens, offers the gourmet and wine lover an abundance of culinary delights and the active traveler various sporting possibilities such as hiking, climbing, biking and a variety of winter sports as well and both activities can easily be combined.
If you happen to be looking for a vacation spot:
-filled with character and authenticity,
-who's inhabitants are warm and welcoming,
-which offers quality in abundance,
-that's so affordable that you will ask yourself "where's the hitch?"
-which is not overrun by mass tourism
-where you can drink some of Italy's finest wines,
-surrounded by unspoiled nature,
-and where Italy is still Italy... (we think you get the message)
...then visit Abruzzo from the Inside. You will be glad you did.
