What is the result when an International Marketing Manager decides to leave the grind of corporate business and open an Agriturismo long before the buzz word even existed? The answer is Azienda Agricola Le Magnolie.

Located in Loreto Aprutino (PE), a region well known as home to the legendary Valentini wines and quality olive oils, Le Magnolie is peace & quiet personified with all the comforts you’d expect from a high-end home away from home. Gabriella and Mario Tortella offer a number of beautiful, spacious rooms and apartments in a tranquil atmosphere surrounded by 20 hectares of olive and vegetable gardens. They also produce their own Extra Virgin Olive Oil which was the first to ever receive both the DOP and Bio (organic) designations in the Abruzzo region. The production is very limited so be sure to make your purchase early in the season. In addition to their olive oil production, Le Magnolie is currently adding a new building to their estate: for olive oil production and a culinary and olive oil institute which has no paramount in the region, or abroad for that matter. The plan is to grow 1000 different international olive varietals thus becoming the only institute on Earth to offer close to all types of olive trees on one piece of land. As of Spring 2008, culinary and olive oil tasting courses will offered on a regular basis.

Prices range anywhere between €30.00-40,00 per person (based on double occupancy) capping off at € 120,00 (regardless of the number of guests) in their larger apartments. More pricing information can be received by phone or by email (see information offered above). 

Guests have access to a large swimming pool, various pick-nick and seating grounds spread out around the estate, internet access in the common area, mountain bike rental and if guests fancy to do so, may pick their own vegetables in the garden free of charge. Breakfast is included for guests renting a room and if you don’t feel like going out to dine, a restaurant which only caters to guests is open evenings and offers a variety of seasonal fare.

For guests of Le Magnolie, there is a hotel pick-up service (Pescara Airport) offered at a fix cost of € 30,00 (price applies for 1-6 passengers). Please reserve in advance.
